Following her high school graduation in Novo mesto, Nina Pekolj attended the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana, where she graduated cum laude (thesis: “Distortion of Competition: Payment of Dividends to Mother Companies in other Member States”).
During the time of her studies she was employed with LeitnerLeitner Slovenija, where she performed various activities in the field of commercial, tax and labour law. Nina desired to upgrade her knowledge of accounting, so she attended supplementary educational training and was awarded the European Business Competence Licence.
After graduation, she pursued a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Law, Ljubljana. Her traineeship was performed at the Higher Court of Ljubljana, while she worked at the Department of Legal Affairs at the City of Ljubljana. Nina also possesses a certificate in general administrative procedures.
Working at the City of Ljubljana, she got familiar with the scope of local government and acquired the necessary skills that she upgraded by working at the Institute for Public-Private Partnership.
